Soldier reports home damage while away

TAHLEQUAH — A Tahlequah man on active duty with the military contacted sheriff’s deputies May 8 to report vandalism at his South 554 Road residence. Robbie Wood told investigators his neighbor contacted him to report someone had caused thousands of dollars of damage to his home.

Sherman Riggs spoke to deputies May 8 to notify them a known suspect pointed a firearm at him. Riggs said he was in his yard when the suspect pointed the gun, and he believes the suspect intends to kill him for unknown reasons. Riggs told investigators he has had ongoing problems with the suspect, who first lied about owning a gun when interviewed by deputies. A loaded .38-caliber pistol was located in the suspect’s residence and was confiscated by investigators, as it is believed the suspect may have mental health issues. The suspect is said to contact law officials on a daily basis to report people, including Riggs, trying to get into her attic and under her house.

A Park Hill woman contacted sheriff’s investigators May 8 to report a known suspect came up behind her and forced his hand down into her pants, grabbing her in the genital area. The woman said she approached the suspect to obtain a cigarette and was talking with the suspect in a work shop when the incident occurred.
