Woman arrested after striking man in face


TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman this week after she allegedly struck a man in the face.

Betty Fox-Richardson, 27, of Hulbert, was booked for domestic assault and battery. Fox-Richardson allegedly hit Christopher Scott in the face during an argument.

Deputies arrested Hector Daniel Hernandez-Paredes, 23, on Monday for public intoxication and trespassing.

Julie Vinson filed an information report Monday.

Susie Flatt told deputies recently that she was assaulted by a woman who grabbed her and pulled her over a fence.

Raheel Sultan, who works at Midway Store, spoke with deputies last week after a customer threw two energy drinks at him. One broke a glass case and another hit Sultan in the leg.

Lauran Sisco told deputies her residence was burglarized and a 32-inch Emerson TV was stolen.

Mandi Bennett reported being threatened recently.

Elise Bridges told deputies her house was burglarized and a back door was pried open. Dozens of rings were taken from the home, including a yellow-gold mother’s ring with 13 stones; a white-gold antique diamond ring with a quarter-carat diamond stone; and a one-carat marquee silver and platinum diamond ring.

Sammi McLemore filed a vandalism report last week.

Vernie Luna told deputies recently that a tractor was stolen from his back yard.
