Assault leads to arrest

TAHLEQUAH — County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Saturday after he allegedly assaulted a woman.

Scott L. Boatwright, 39, was booked for domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor. Boatwright allegedly grabbed and pushed a woman, then took a phone from her and broke it. He allegedly told deputies he just wanted to sleep when the incident occurred.

Dennis Joe Arneecher, 63, of Tahlequah, was arrested last week for domestic assault and battery.

Deputies took a report from Arthur Lewis last week about a burglary.

Elizabeth Anderson filed a burglary report Dec. 4 and said several tools were stolen.

Lacey Ward filed an information report last Friday.

Anthony Thomas filed an information report Dec. 4.

Terri Davis reported violation of a protective order Sunday.

Bobby Trammel reported a burglary last week and said five guns were taken, including a .22-caliber Remington rifle, a Martin .22 auto rifle, a Ruger single six revolver, a pellet gun with scope, and a .32 auto Jennings.

Garie Laughlin said he caught a male climbing into a window of his home. Laughlin said he grabbed a shotgun and pointed it at the person, and told him to leave. The person left, but later told deputies he had been invited to the home.

Deputies took a report from a woman this week who said she was tied up with duct tape and forced to take some medications. Authorities are investigating the claims, which also include a possible sexual assault. Deputies said the woman had given nurses a different story about what happened.
