Cherokee County sheriff’s investigators have filed a report after two horses were discovered living without food or water.
Investigators said they first received a report of the horses in early January. Callers said the horses lacked food and water. When deputies checked on the horses, it appeared as though they had recently been cared for. Investigators returned to the property later in January and found hay had been provided, but the animals had no source of water. Officials with the Humane Society of Cherokee County provided the horses water and the animals were taken to a temporary home to be cared for.
