Sheriff Report: Welling teen jailed after assault with hammer


TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Welling teenager recently after an alleged assault.

Gregory Hodge, 18, was booked into jail for domestic on a minor, domestic in the presence of a minor, and assault with a dangerous weapon. Hodge allegedly assaulted a 12-year-old girl and an adult, and later wielded a hammer. He also broke down a door and threatened the victims, deputies reported.

James Glenn Kelley, 24, of Tahlequah, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly used an ax handle to beat a woman in the head. The woman suffered fractures in her face, according to deputies.

T.J. Mollie II, 26, of Tulsa, was arrested Sunday for violation of a protective order.

Clay Buckner, 42, of Tahlequah, was arrested Saturday for domestic assault and battery.

Michael Charles James, 27, was arrested last week for domestic assault and battery.

Brittany Shae Kirk, 31, was booked for possession of marijuana Monday.

Deputies took a threats report Monday from Linda Taylor.

Carla Fallen filed an information report this week.

Deputies took a report last week after a woman entered the Log Store south of Tahlequah and stole candy.

Barbara Hayes filed an information report Saturday.

Juanita Gibson reported the theft of medication Friday.

James Chapell reported a hub cap stolen from his vehicle last week.
