Sheriff Report: Deputies log fraud report

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report of fraud Wednesday.

Richard Collins said he learned of some unauthorized withdrawals on a bank account. When he checked, he discovered the money had been withdrawn from a “cash loan” business out of Texas. He contacted the business and was asked to file a police report.

Janet Gay told deputies this week her gate was broken. Deputies said tire prints left in the snow led to a possible suspect’s home.

Kylie Girdner filed an assault report Wednesday.

Dorine Fain told deputies Wednesday that she was assaulted.
