TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a burglary report recently when saddles and tack were stolen.

Alison Wortman said one saddle is a roping saddle with a silver star atop the horn; and the second saddle is a western riding saddle. Also taken were three bridles with reins; two blankets, including a red-and-black checkered blanket and a green-and-black checkered blanket; a neon-orange breast plate; and two girth straps, one of which is red and white, and the other solid white. Wortman said pots, pans and dishes were also stolen.

In other matters, Crystal Billings spoke to deputies recently about a fence being knocked over a couple of times, possibly by children.

Winfred Belcher filed a vandalism report this week, saying a person on a four-wheeler drover over some orange construction cones.

Daniel Davis spoke with deputies this week about horses getting onto his property and causing damage.
