Area 15-year-old reported missing

TAHLEQUAH — To start the work week, deputies of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office responded to calls about thefts, vandalism and a missing juvenile.

Deputies visited a residence on Old Highway 62 to receive a report of a missing 15-year-old male juvenile. Last seen around noon Monday, the teen is alleged to be driving a blue-green 1990 Ford pickup truck. His guardians suspect the teen is absent voluntarily and still in Cherokee County.

George D. Shankle of Rose called deputies Monday to report a stolen firearm, a .380 pistol with serial number of 1076561.

Joshua Wayne Moss reported Monday the theft during the weekend of his iPad Mini from his office at Tr-B Nursery in Hulbert. Moss gave the serial number as F4KK635BF19F.

On Monday, James A. Taylor Sr. reported the larceny of eight scrap radiators at his residence in Hulbert.

Also on Monday, Diane Youngbird reported the vandalism of a rental trailer, from which carpet was stolen.

On Tuesday, Robin Denise Heskett reported the theft of her purse, which contained medications.
