Park Hill man arrested after domestic incident

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Park Hill man last week after a domestic incident.

Shawn Farron Floyd, 25, of Park Hill, was booked for domestic in the presence of minor by strangulation. Deputies said Floyd was accused of shoving a woman into a refrigerator, then grabbing her by the throat and choking her while holding her down.

In other matters, Heather Ragsdale spoke with deputies about threats last week.

Brenda Holloway filed an information report last week.

Deputies took a report from a woman last week who said her information was posted on a Craigslist advertisement, including her phone number. The woman said the ad claimed she was a 19-year-old pregnant woman who wanted to meet for sexual encounters, and the information included her phone number and a photo of another unidentified nude woman. She told deputies she had received a number of calls from men in response to the ad.

Sara Stewart spoke with deputies about the violation of a protective order Friday.
