Local man jailed for shoplifting

TAHLEQUAH — A Tahlequah man was arrested by police on Tuesday for shoplifting in a local convenience store.

Joshua R. Ivey, 24, was taken into custody for obtaining a cigarette lighter from EZ Mart without paying for the item. According to the police report, the lighter was valued at $5.

Reta Fain filed a theft report Oct. 30 to notify law officials her automobile had been stolen.

Laura Carroll spoke to police Oct. 30 to report the theft of a domestic animal.

Mike Gwin filed a fraud report Oct. 30, indicating an unknown suspect has been using his address to receive government assistance.

Michael Greer on Oct. 30 told police an intruder had broken into his house while he was gone. Items reported missing included a 50-inch television, X-Box with games, and a stereo with a DVD player.
