Man arrested for DUI

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a Hulbert man Thursday evening after he nearly crashed.

Caleb L. Deardeuff, 21, came close to hitting an aqueduct at Bluff and Choctaw, according to police. A traffic stop was conducted, and Deardeuff was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police arrested a juvenile last week and later released the child to the parent after tools were reported stolen from a construction site in the 700 block of North Vinita.  Taken were a Porter cable compressor, a Porter cable nail gun, a Makita circular saw, a Black and Decker reciprocating saw, and a jigsaw, among other items.

Anita Schultz on Wednesday told police her purse was stolen.
