Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Tahlequah man this week after a fight call at the South Breeze Trailer Park.
Jacob Kirk, 24, of Tahlequah, was arrested on alcohol-related charges. Deputies said Kirk was sitting outside crying and had been in a fight with a friend, who had left the scene. Kirk was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol, according to deputies. He told them he wanted to go home, but deputies instead arrested him and placed him in a patrol vehicle.
Kirk allegedly freed himself from his seat belt, rolled a window down and tried to unlock the door to get out of the vehicle, but was taken to jail with no other problems.
Deputies spoke to Harry Rogers last week about a stolen camera. Rogers said he gave a man a ride on Christmas day. Five days later, Rogers decided to go take some photographs, but realized his camera was missing. He believes the camera may have been taken by the man he helped on Christmas.
Michelle Cline spoke to deputies this week after someone shattered the glass on her vehicle while it was parked in front of her apartment.
Heather Beitz told deputies Wednesday that her boyfriend took a large amount of money from her bank account and by forging checks.
Jamie Johnson reported an ongoing conflict Wednesday.
Melanie Ballard told deputies someone in her neighborhood shot her cat recently. Ballard said the person has shot her cats several times before.
Dawn Miller, a local real estate agent, spoke to deputies Wednesday after an intruder broke into a house she is trying to sell. Miller also contacted the owner of the property about the incident.
Tommy Hood reported theft of scrap metal this week, including stock panels, a cook stove, old car parts, and the cab of an old truck.
