Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested two teenagers Saturday after a vehicle ran through a stop sign and nearly collided with a deputy’s truck.
Stephen James Lowe Jr., 18, of Pueblo, Colo., was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, public intoxication, transporting an open container, operating contrary to conditions specified on a driver’s license, and failure to stop at a stop sign. A passenger, 19-year-old Noe Antonio Degollado, was arrested for public intoxication. Deputies said they found a partially consumed bottle of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey in the vehicle, and both men allegedly admitted they had consumed some of the liquor.
Tyler Johnson talked to deputies Saturday after he was assaulted. Johnson said he was at a man’s home when three other guys arrived, and were asked by the homeowner to take Johnson outside. They then assaulted Johnson until he broke free and ran into a wooded area. Johnson suffered a broken nose and a cracked left eye-socket bone.
Michael Reedy told deputies a woman asked to borrow his car, but never returned it.
