VERDIGRIS — Keys’ Shea Heble finished third overall as Keys’ boys golf team qualified for the Class 3A state tournament.

Heble finished with a 149, which was good enough for a tie with Dewey’s Alec Pierce, who won a playoff to finish second.

Valliant’s Ian Nelson won medalist honors with a 147.

As for the Cougars, they finished sixth with a 678. Stigler (631), Idabel (645), Valliant (658), Inola (664) and Lincoln Christian (668) rounded out the rest of the top five state qualifiers.

Adding to Heble’s effort for Keys’ team total was Zach Rogers (173), Kris Beres (177), Larry Caviness (182) and Alex Thompson (191).

Keys will play at the 3A state tournament in Ardmore next week.
