Tigers head to Carl Albert
Tahlequah will figure out where it measures up in Class 5A this weekend when it heads to Malcolm Wade Invitational at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City.
Waiting for Tahlequah at Carl will be other top 5A teams. No. 2 Lawton MacArthur, No. 3 Shawnee, No. 4 Altus and No. 5 Deer Creek will all be attendance.
"It's going to be a meat-grinder of a tournament," Tahlequah coach James Rappe said. "The only team that's not going to be there that I wanted them to be there is Collinsville."
Last weekend Tahlequah finished third at the McAlester tournament. The Tigers lost 44-24 on Thursday night at Pryor.
This weekend Tahlequah will be without Paul Sargent (138 pounds) and Colton Wright (195).
