MOORE — Kacady Glory had 13 points, and Reagan Clark added 12 points but it wasn't enough as Tahlequah lost to Lawton, 58-54, in the consolation semifinals of the John Nobles Tournament on Friday.
The Lady Tigers will have to settle for playing for seventh on Saturday morning.
Whitney Wright added 11 points for the Lady Tigers (4-10), who lost their seventh straight game.
"We couldn't get defense stops we needed at the end of the game," said Tahlequah coach Johnny Dyson, whose team will take on Southmoore for seventh place.
The Tahlequah boys also lost on Friday, 71-57, to Lawton in the consolation semifinals of the tournament. Matt Alberty had 21 points for the Tigers (4-10), who will face Northwest Classen on Saturday.
Split decision for Hulbert teams at Dale Calvert Inv.
KIEFER — The Hulbert girls used 21 points from Tiffany Thompson to picked up their first win at the Dale Calvert Invitational in Kiefer.
Tina Buford also chipped in with 11 points for Hulbert, which will play for fifth place in the tournament on Saturday.
The Hulbert boys didn't fare as well, losing to Kiefer 70-57 in the championship semifinals. The Riders will settle for playing for third on Saturday.
No other information was reported on the boys game.
