TULSA — Cenia Hayes dropped in 20 points, and Jhonett Cookson added 14 points as the Sequoyah girls knocked off Metro Christian, 56-43, on Friday night.
Audrey Ballou added 10 points for the Lady Indians (20-1), who led 26-22 at halftime before pulling away in the second half.
The Sequoyah boys got 21 points from Caisen Green to blow out Metro Christian, 53-33. B.J. Leach added 11 points for the Indians, who will play at Ketchum on Tuesday.
Claremore teams trounce Tahlequah
CLAREMORE — Sixteen points from Lindsay Wade was not enough as the Tahlequah girls suffered a 52-39 loss at Claremore on Friday night.
Tahlequah (8-12) was trailing 24-18 at halftime but was outscored 16-8 in the third quarter.
In the boys game, Claremore posted a 51-45 win over Tahlequah. Clint Kelley had 12 points for the Tigers.
Keys teams split on the road
WAGONER — Chase Girdner had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Tristan Walker had 12 points to lead the Cougars to the 52-49 win.
For the Bulldogs (4-16), Kyle Curry had 14 points, Anthony Ashley had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Tracy Thompson had 10 points and eight rebounds.
In the girls game, the Lady Bulldogs were led to victory by Kristen Robbins with 18 points, Kallie Smith with 13 points and Cherokee Ridge with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Kallie Smith’s eight points in the fourth quarter helped secure the win for Wagoner (5-14).
Sydni Rainbolt had 14 points and nine rebounds, and Ali Nolan had 13 points for Keys.
Keys (2-16) will host Vian on Monday.
Hulbert wins 2 vs. Warner
HULBERT — The Lady Riders won a close one behind the scoring of Tiffany Thompson with 23 points. Chelsea Anderson scored 18 and Kaylee Mathews 11 for the Lady Eagles (15-5).
In the boys game, the Riders won behind the scoring of Mason Fielden with 12 points and Parker Taylor with 10 points.
The girls are now 13-8 and the boys are 16-6. Both will play at Chouteau on Monday.
