Smith leads Kingfisher to Okla. Class 3A title

STILLWATER — Nick Smith scored five times and had 231 yards on 10 carries Thursday as Kingfisher completed a perfect season with a 30-23 victory over Blanchard in the Class 3A football title game.

Blanchard took a 16-9 halftime lead with a safety and two touchdowns in the second quarter, but Smith touchdowns of 36, 83 and 25 yards in the second half put Kingfisher (15-0) back on top.

Smith scored on a 75-yard run and kicked a 35-yard field goal in the first quarter.

Blanchard had defeated Kingfisher in the 2012 championship game, 28-21.

Braden Stringer carried the ball 26 times for 160 yards to lead Blanchard (13-1).

Kingfisher had 287 yards in total offense, with 269 on the ground. Blanchard had 258 yards.

Davis beats Millwood for 2A football title

MOORE — Two Blake Summers’ touchdowns in the fourth quarter lifted Davis to a 36-32 come-from-behind victory over Millwood on Thursday in the Class 2A football title game.

Summers rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns, while Braden Ruth carried for 167 yards and two scores, as Davis (15-0) gained all of its 416 yards on the ground.

Cameron Batson had 84 yards on 12 carries for Millwood (14-10), which held a 26-7 lead at intermission after Batson hit Alfonzo McMillian with a 57-yard touchdown pass.

After a 22-yard pass from Batson to McMillian made it 32-14, Ruth scored on a 52-yard run to start the comeback.

Summers’ 1-yard run in the fourth period, plus Paxton Killblane’s 2-point conversion, made it 32-29 before the game-winner with less than 90 seconds left.

Hollis defeats Ringling for Class A title

CACHE — Kalub Williams scored on touchdown runs of 5 and 20 yards on Thursday as Hollis capped a perfect season with a 29-12 victory over Ringling in the Class A high school football championship game.

Gunnar Ewing ran for a score and threw his team’s only complete pass — a 5-yard touchdown to Keegan Macias — as Hollis built a 23-6 first-half lead.

Ringling finished the season 12-2. Slade Stewart had a 4-yard touchdown run, while Austin Rogers’ 10-yard catch on a pass from Tanner Richardson made it 23-12 at halftime.

Hollis (14-0) gained 336 yards on 48 carries. Ringling had 251 yards in total offense, but turned the ball over three times, including three times on interceptions.
