— Both Sequoyah cross country teams finished third at the Class 3A state meet over the weekend. The Sequoyah girls recorded 111 points, which was 18 behind Marietta and eight behind Marlow. Kyla Holmes led Sequoyah with a third-place finish at 12:16 in the 3,200-meter race. As for the Sequoyah boys, the Indians had 114 points for third. Kansas won with 85, and Riverside was second with 93. Terrance Nofire was Sequoyah’s top finisher in eighth place at 16:53 in the 5K race.
