Keys hopes to win second home game against Westville tonight

The Keys Cougars will end their season tonight against the Westville Yellowjackets.

Keys is coming off a loss to seventh ranked Vian, while Westville picked up their second win on the season against Couteau last week.

The Cougars have struggled at home this season, with the only win coming in week two against Beggs, but will take on Westville team that has yet to win on the road.

The game will mark the end of high school careers for the seniors who will be honored.

The offense, led by seniors Lane Trammel and Kylar Welch, has seen its struggles this season, but has also been very explosive at times. With more of an emphasis on running the ball this season, head coach Gary Willis has seen teams struggle against Trammels ability to pass and scramble out of trouble. Welch has been the main load carrier for the running backs this season with fellow senior Gregg James and freshman Cody Cole has recently emerged as an option.

The Yellowjackets are led by junior quarterback Chandler Smith and senior running back Corey Shoemaker.

The Keys defense has been a strong point all season for the team led by seniors Taylor Swanson, Derrell Scavone, Donnie Sequichie and Dillon Springwater. Also playing in their last game will be Rick Hobbs, Cole Welch, Victor Martin, Austin Maize, Cody McChristian and Ronnie Adams.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
