Athletics agree to terms with Dillon Overton

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland Athletics agreed to terms Wednesday with former University of Oklahoma left-hander Dillon Overton, the team's second-round draft choice this year.

Overton was 9-3 with a 3.02 ERA in 14 starts and two relief appearances for Oklahoma this year. He struck out 79 and walked 23 in 92 1-3 innings. The 63rd overall pick, Dillon was 23-10 with a 2.89 ERA in 61 career appearances in three seasons for the Sooners. He had 264 strikeouts and 80 walks in 289 1-3 innings.
