Lady Tigers rout Sapulpa

Amanda Milnick had nine kills, and Gillian Tinnin added seven as Class 5A No. 9 Tahlequah rolled past Sapulpa, 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-9), on the volleyball court at the TMAC on Thursday night.

The Lady Tigers are now 21-5 and will play in the Claremore tournament, which begins on Friday.

Fall Classic update

Class 3A No. 1 Sequoyah rolled to three easy victories in the Fall Classic softball tournament on Thursday. The Lady Indians beat Beggs (6-0), Hulbert (16-0) and Wilburton (6-0).

Hulbert went 0-3 on the day, losing to Checotah (4-3) and Wilburton (4-2), in addition to losing to Sequoyah.

Keys had a 2-1 day, beating Jay (4-1) and Oaks (4-2) before dropping a 7-4 contest against Red Oak.

Sequoyah, Keys and Hulbert will be back in action in the tournament on Saturday.

Lady Indians get past East Central

The Sequoyah volleyball team beat East Central 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-21) on Thursday night at The Place Where They Play.

Audrey Ballou led Sequoyah wil 14 kills, and Baylee Herrin and Jhonett Cookson both had seven kills. Eva Hooper had 14 assists to lead Sequoyah in that department.

The Lady Indians are now 25-4 and will play Monday at Muskogee.
