Texas beats Oklahoma State 3-0 in Big 12 tourney

OKLAHOMA CITY — Dillon Peters and Parker French combined for a shutout, and Texas defeated top seed Oklahoma State 3-0 in the Big 12 tournament Thursday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Peters pitched five innings and allowed four hits to earn the win. French pitched four innings and allowed just one hit to earn the save for the fifth-seeded Longhorns (38-16).

Kacy Clemens knocked in all three runs for No. 5 seed Texas, which advanced to Saturday's action and needs just one win to reach Sunday's final. Clemens' bases-loaded hit in the eighth scored two to give the Longhorns a 3-0 lead.

Jon Perrin got the loss for Oklahoma State (42-15), despite allowing just one run on five hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Oklahoma State will play Oklahoma in an elimination game Friday.

Bayler 4, Kansas 3

Joe Sabatini had two hits and knocked in a run to help Baylor defeat Kansas 4-3 and eliminate the third-seeded Jayhawks from the Big 12 baseball tournament at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.

Lawton Langford, Grayson Porter, Aaron Dodson and Logan Brown each had a hit in Thursday's game for the No. 7 seeded Bears (25-30). Winning pitcher Drew Tolson went six innings and gave up three runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked one. Daniel Castano and Josh Michalec combined for three innings of scoreless relief.

Ka'iana Eldredge had three hits and Connor McKay drove in two runs for Kansas (34-24).

Baylor scored four runs in the third inning to take a 4-1 lead. Kansas scored twice in the top of the sixth.
