Collinsville teams breeze past Tahlequah

COLLINSVILLE — Taylor O'Dell and Mallory Vaughn scored 18 points apiece as Class 5A No. 5 Collinsville cruised to a 63-41 win over Tahlequah on Friday night. Dakota Jefferson added 10 points for the Lady Cardinals (9-3).

Marisa Girdner and Kacady Glory paced the Lady Tigers (4-8) with 10 points apiece.

The loss was Tahlequah's fifth straight.

Tahlequah's next game will be Thursday against Moore at 1 p.m. at the John Nobles Tournament in Moore.

In the boys game, Kanyen Cole logged 23 points and Shawn Kocheski tossed in 10 points as Collinsville snapped a four-game losing streak with a 57-47 win against Tahlequah.

The Tigers (4-8) were led by Matt Alberty's 15 points. Will Carlile added 10 points in the losing cause.

Tahlequah will now venture to Moore to take on Southmoore in the first round of the John Nobles Tournament on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

Hulbert girls win; Okay tops Riders

Megan Cox scored 17 points to lead the Lady Riders to victory over Okay. Hulbert (7-4) will host Choteau Tuesday.

In the boys game, Darius Riggs tallied 32 points as the Mustangs (9-4) dispatched of Hulbert, who fell to 7-4 despite 29 points from Mason Fielden.

Hulbert will return home on Tuesday to host Chouteau.
