AFTERNOON UPDATE: Oklahoma advances to Big 12 title game

OKLAHOMA CITY — Matt Oberste hit a two-run homer to help lead Oklahoma to 7-2 victory over top-seeded Baylor in the Big 12 Conference baseball tournament.

The win eliminated Baylor (44-14), which trailed 4-0 before a home run by Josh Ludy put the Bears on the scoreboard in the fourth inning. The Sooners (38-21) answered with three more runs in the fifth to secure the win and advance to the championship against either Kansas or Missouri on Sunday.

Oberste was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Max White added a two-run double for Oklahoma. Josh Ludy had two RBIs for the Bears.

Jonathan Gray (8-4) allowed six hits and two runs in 7 2-3 innings for Oklahoma.

Joey Hainsfurther (2-1) allowed four hits and four runs in 3 1-4 innings in the loss.
