Lady Tigers to host Slugout games

Tahlequah will have a hint of home-field advantage during pool play of the 26th annual Muskogee Slugout.

Tahlequah’s slowpitch softball team, ranked fourth in Class 6A, was supposed to play at Muskogee on Thursday during pool play. But recent rains forced Thursday’s pool play games to Lady Tiger Field in Tahlequah.

While Sequoyah, Poteau, Jenks, Westmoore and Muskogee will play at Muskogee High School, Tahlequah, Red Oak, Muldrow, Stilwell and Union will be on the north end of Highway 62.

The first-, second- and third-place finishers during pool play will take part in bracket games at Muskogee High School on Saturday.

Game times for Friday at Tahlequah’s field are: 10 a.m. (Red Oak vs. Muldrow); 11:15 a.m. (Stilwell vs. Muldrow); 12:30 p.m. (Stilwell vs. Red Oak); 1:45 p.m. (Tahlequah vs. Red Oak); 3 p.m. (Tahlequah vs. Stilwell); 4:15 pm. (Union vs. Muldrow); 5:30 p.m. (Tahlequah vs. Muldrow); 6:45 p.m. (Union vs. Stilwell).
