MIAA golf tournament cut short

SMITHVILLE, Mo. — The final rounds of the 2013 MIAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships were canceled on Tuesday due to rain and snow at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex.

The results from Monday’s opening rounds became final, meaning the Northeastern State women finished the tournament in second place and the men placed sixth.

Both teams will now await their potential NCAA Regional fate.
