Rankings: Tahlequah is not ranked in Class 5A; Claremore is No. 8 in 5A in the Associated Press’ prep poll.

News to know: Tahlequah’s 47 points against Grove was the most the Tigers have scored in a game since a 51-26 win over Edison in 2009. ... Claremore outlasted Collinsville in a 42-38 victory in overtime last week. Derrick Reliford scored on 10-yard touchdown on Claremore’s first play in overtime, after Collinsville was held to a field goal on its possession. ... Claremore has outscored Tahlequah 149-16 over the past five seasons while winning all five contests. ... Tahelquah’s last victory over Claremore was a 17-14 triumph in 2006.
Players to watch
- Tahlequah: David Dick (QB), Reese Davis (LB).
-- Dick, Tahlequah’s senior quarterback, spearheaded the Tigers’ 521-yard rushing effort with 201 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries in a win over Grove last week. Dick scored on plays of 24, 37 and 30 yards.
-- At his linebacker spot, Davis led Tahlequah with 11 tackles last week at Grove. Davis will play a huge role in shutting down Claremore’s balanced offense.
- Claremore: Reliford (RB), Bear Hope (LB).
-- Reliford, the Zebras’ 5-foot-5, 182-pound junior tailback, rushed for more than 170 yards last week against Collinsville. On the year, Reliford has 479 yards and five touchdowns on 86 carries.
- Hope, a 6-2, 200-pound junior linebacker, leads the Zebras with 61 tackles in four games.
Looking ahead: Tahlequah will play at Coweta on Oct. 11, while Claremare will return home to Lantow Field to take on East Central.

- Keys: Dakota Matlock (RB).
-- The Cougars’ sophomore tailback has 353 yards on 59 carries this season. Matlock ran for 118 yards in last week’s win over Westville.
- Sequoyah: Justin Hooper (RB).
-- Hooper enjoyed a breakout performance last week against Locust Grove, racking up 240 yards on 36 carries. Hooper has now rushed for 490 yards on 93 carries this year.
Looking ahead: Sequoyah will play at Westville on Oct. 11, while Keys will play another rivalry game against Vian.
Wyandotte at Hulbert

Nicknames: Hulbert Riders; Wyandotte Bears.
