East Carolina beats Tulsa 58-24

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Shane Carden threw for five touchdowns and ran for two more, setting a school record for most TDs in a game, to lead East Carolina to a 58-24 win against Tulsa on Saturday night.

Carden had TD passes of 28, 18, 5, 25, and 5 yards and two rushing TDs from 1-yard out for East Carolina (7-2, 5-1 Conference USA). Carden finished with 384 yards passing and 25 on the ground. Carden broke Scott Harley's record of six touchdowns in a game set on Nov. 16, 1996 against Ohio.
