STILLWATER — Junior wide receiver Charlie Moore caught the eyes of Cowboys' nation during the spring game with nine receptions for 243 yards and three touchdowns. As the season opener against Savannah State University draws near, Moore reflected on that performance.

"I think all my confidence came from the work that I put in the weight room and not just the spring game," Moore said. "It was a good experience. Now my confidence has gone through the roof."

Moore said he wasn't anticipating a big day.

"I just went out there in front of the fans and happened to have a big day," Moore said.

Moore said he received some texts from friends after the game.
