NSU hoops to host Hillsdale

The Northeastern State men’s basketball team will host Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College tonight at the NSU Event Center.

The RiverHawks are coming off a 102-65 victory over Ecclesia on Saturday night, in which six NSU players scored in double figures. Bryton Hobbs led the RiverHawks (1-0) with 20 points and five assists.

Hillsdale (2-3) — based in Moore while playing in the National Christian College Athletic Association — is coming off a 116-54 loss to Sam Houston State in an exhibition contest on Monday.

7 players on MLC honor roll

Seven Tahlequah volleyball players picked up postseason accolades when the Metro Lakes Conference announced its 2013 season honors.

Tahlequah’s Gillian Tinnin and Kalie Champlain were both named to the First Team. Mary Flusche (Bishop Kelley), Rachel Pack (Coweta), Kalia Thomas (Coweta), Sarah Shiever (Collinsville), Kaitlin Schwartz (Claremore) and Madison Stuckey (Skiatook) were also on the First Team.

Tahlequah’s Amanda Milnick and Katie Schneider were named to the conference’s Second Team. Picking up honorable mentions from the league were Tahlequah’s Cassie Goodnight, Jayden Littlechief and Alli George.

Evening kickoff set for Baylor at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER — A 7 p.m. kickoff has been scheduled for the Baylor at Oklahoma State football game.

The Bears and Cowboys will play Nov. 23 in Stillwater and will be broadcast by ABC.

No. 12 OSU plays at Texas this week while No. 4 Baylor plays Texas Tech in Arlington.

Kickoff time set for Oklahoma at Kansas State game

NORMAN — A morning kickoff has been scheduled for the Oklahoma at Kansas State game.

OU announced Tuesday that the Nov. 23 game will start at 11 a.m. in Manhattan, Kan. The game is to be broadcast by Fox Sports 1.

OU hosts Iowa State on Saturday.

Oral Roberts at Kansas State in college basketball

TULSA — The Oral Roberts basketball team will be on the road to play at Kansas State.

The Golden Eagles are 1-0 after opening the season with a win over cross-town rival Tulsa. K-State is 0-1 after a loss to Northern Colorado.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday in Manhattan, Kan.
