Stoops set to pass Switzer on wins list

No. 22 Oklahoma (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) at Kansas State (6-4, 4-3), 11 a.m. CT (Fox Sports 1)

Line: Kansas State by 4.

Series record: Oklahoma leads 71-18-4.

Both teams are trying to improve their bowl prospects. The Sooners can still reach 10 wins by beating the Wildcats and then winning the Bedlam game Dec. 7 against rival Oklahoma State. Kansas State is going for its fifth straight win with rival Kansas looming next week.

Oklahoma QB Trevor Knight vs Kansas State defense. The Sooners are expected to start their highly touted redshirt freshman with Blake Bell still dealing with a suspected concussion. Knight started the first two games of the season before Bell took over the job. He ran for 123 yards and threw for 61 in two-plus quarters against the Cyclones.

Oklahoma: RBs Brennan Clay and Roy Finch, and WRs Jaz Reynolds and Durron Neal. All of them will be counted upon to make up for the suspensions of RB Damien Williams, who has 553 yards rushing, and WR Lacoltan Bester, who has 20 catches for 279 yards.

Kansas State: QBs Jake Waters and Daniel Sams. The duo has gotten into a nice rhythm while shuttling in and out of the lineup. Waters is a passer who can also run, Sams a runner who can also pass.
