State champion predictions

6A: Jenks - The Trojans' road to the state championship is challenging with possible matchups against Midwest City in the quarterfinals and Lawton in the semifinals, but Jenks has more than enough talent to repeat as the 6A champ. In the end, Jenks wins the Tulsa battle and beats Union again this year — only this time it'll be with the title on the line.

5A: Guthrie - Rafe Watkins and the Bluejays could end up facing Shawnee in the quarterfinals and Ardmore/Bishop McGuinness/Collinsville in the semifinals. That's much easier than McAlester or Carl Albert's path, which also has Lawton MacArthur on the same side of the bracket. With that, it's much easier to take Guthrie in the finals when it beats McAlester for the crown.

4A: Anadarko - The Warriors' biggest challenge could come against Wagoner in the semifinals. But that's not likely to stop Anadarko, which could win its second title in three years.

3A: Blanchard - The top half of the 3A bracket features fewer pitfalls than the treacherous bottom half. With that, the Lions pull off their second straight title with a win over Metro Christian in the finals.

2A: Millwood - The Falcons find their way to the top with a win over Davis in the championship game.

A: Ringling - Class A's best defense finds a way to prevail over Wynnewood in the finals.

B: Laverne - The Tigers looked primed to win their second straight championship.

C: Tipton - Much like Laverne, Tipton has the inside track to the crown for the second straight year.
