A Vian man died Monday morning in a motorcycle crash north of Gore.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the victim as Michael C. Pierce, 35. Pierce was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on State Highway 10A when he failed to negotiate a curve around 1:30 a.m.
The motorcycle went off the south side of the highway and hit a fence. Pierce was not wearing a helmet. OHP crash reports list the cause of the crash and Pierce’s condition as unknown.
The crash was investigated by OHP Trooper Shawn Griffey of the Sequoyah County detachment of Troop C.
