TULSA – The Yes on 788 Campaign has announced educational opportunities for physicians and the general public on medical marijuana. Dr. Sunil Aggarwal will be in available in two Oklahoma cities this coming weekend.
The schedule for the events is: Friday, June 8, 10:30 a.m. press conference, and noon Lunch and Learn at Hilton Garden Inn - Midtown, 4518 E. Skelly Drive, Tulsa; and Saturday, June 9, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with a 1 p.m. speech by Aggarwal, at GOTV Rally Andrews Park, 201 W. Daws St., Norman.
Born in Muskogee, and a graduate of the Oklahoma School of Science and Math, Aggarwal is a clinical instructor for the University of Washington School of Medicine. His professional medical and scientific work is in the use of cannabis in clinical practice, medical research and educational settings. He is the chair of the Integrative Medicine Special Interest Group in the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and serves on the editorial advisory board of the National Cancer Institute PDQ’s Information Summary on Cannabis and Cannabinoids. He has degrees in medicine, medical geography, chemistry, philosophy and religious studies.
