KEYS – Members of Keys School Board renewed Superintendent Jerry Hood’s contract through the 2007-’08 school year during Monday night’s regular meeting.

The board approved a $425 per year raise for Hood during the January meeting, bringing his annual salary to $76,130.

Following a 45-minute executive session with all board members present, contract negotiations for Elementary Principal Calvin Klugh and Assistant High School Principal Robin Gibson were tabled for the second time in as many months.

In other matters, the board approved hiring and signing a contract for Alan Chapman as school auditor for school year 2005-’06, and approved opening an activity sub account for the special education program.

According to Hood, the special education students will be attending the Special Olympics in Stillwater this year and are raising funds for the trip, which necessitated opening an account.

The next regular meeting of the Keys School Board will be at 7 p.m., Monday, April 3, in the high school cafeteria.
