Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested three local men early Friday after a traffic stop north of Tahlequah. Sheriff’s Deputy Bronson McNiel’s report states he met a vehicle on State Highway 82 that allegedly failed to dim its lights. He turned his patrol vehicle around and stopped the vehicle driven by Larry Dale Adair, 30.
Adair had no driver’s license and was booked on the charge. Benjamin Adair, 29, allegedly threw something over a bridge as McNiel started to make the traffic stop. He and Shane Clayton, 30, were arrested for public drunk.
Reports state each of the three men told McNiel they didn’t know where they were or where they were going.
In an unrelated matter, Taletha Walkingstick told deputies Sunday someone took a TV, camera, purse, wallet and the contents.
Jeff Hicks reported damage Monday to a “No Parking” sign on his property.
