A Cherokee County teenager was taken to a Tulsa hospital Monday for treatment of injuries suffered in a dog attack.

Reports state the 16-year-old boy was riding his bicycle in the Grand View area when a pit bulldog charged up to him and started biting him on the leg. The dog continued to bite the boy until the boy’s father intervened. The boy was initially taken to Cherokee Nation Hastings Hospital and later moved to St. Francis Hospital for bites to his legs and torso. The dog was taken to a local veterinarian.

In an unrelated matter, Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Richardson went to a car crash Monday and encountered a woman creating a disturbance. He arrested Selena Stark, 20, for disorderly conduct and added a charge of destruction of county property when she allegedly kicked a rear window out of Richardson’s patrol car.

Mary Nordwall filed a harassment report Monday.

Debbie Jones and Gayle Judkins filed protective order violation reports.

Janet Richardson filed a threats report Saturday.

Trisha Birdtail said Saturday she was physically assaulted.

Brenda Bishop spoke to deputies last Thursday about a theft of speakers, mail, money, a television, medication and costume jewelry.

Michael Ryals said Monday someone took his wallet and the contents from his vehicle.

Robert Holbird said last Tuesday he was threatened by a man with a firearm.
