Cherokee County sheriff's deputies arrested a father and son last Thursday after an alleged domestic dispute at a local residence.

Jacob H. Masters Jr., 46, and Joshua Masters, 24, were booked for two counts of domestic abuse in the presence of a minor and two counts of injury to a minor child.

In an unrelated matter, Ronald Hathcock, 39, and Melodie Ann Steed, 43, were arrested on burglary charges Saturday. Reports state James Chaffin and Sam Jackson were holding Hathcock and Steed when Sheriff's Deputy Justin Hackworth arrived. The suspects were allegedly driving a U-Haul truck and had loaded several items into the truck.

Gregory C. Moore, 36, was arrested Friday for possession of a firearm.

Wesley Campbell filed a report Saturday alleging someone took two bowls of coins, a cup of coins and a necklace from his home.

Angie Scott reported an assault Saturday. A 16-year-old boy was taken to the youth shelter in connection with the incident.

Alton Martin said Wednesday someone took an assortment of tools from his home.

Henry Hendricks filed a credit card fraud report Friday.

A 25-year-old woman reported a sexual assault Saturday.

Serena White reported her mower taken Wednesday.

Shirley Russell said Sunday someone took her guitar.
