Four people were arrested Sunday by Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies after a theft from the Midway Store.

Reports state Natasha Caughman, 19; Daryllynn Elizabeth Williams, 19; Jeremy Poafybitty, 20; and Jory Lynn Poafpybitty, 19, were arrested for knowingly concealing stolen property. Authorities allege the four took alcohol from the store without paying. They were later stopped by Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Coons. Formal charges will be filed in district court against the four.

Teri Rhoades told deputies thieves took a small barn off her property Sunday.

Elizabeth McGowlin filed a report Friday, alleging harassing phone calls.

Dawn Chandler said Saturday she’s received threats.

Julie Krans filed a harassment report Monday.

Todd Krans filed one Sunday, alleging the same person was committing the harassment.

Dolores Rucker told deputies Monday that thieves took gas cans, garden hoes, hand sprayers, claw hammers, paint, drill, tape measures, cots, a pillow and quilts.

Carol Gatewood also filed a theft report Monday, alleging money was taken from her home.

Latoyah Asbill said Sunday vandals tossed a rock through her window.
