Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies apprehended an area man Saturday for alleged drunken driving.

Dylan Ford, 22, was booked into the detention center by Sheriff’s Deputy Rickie Duggin for aggravated DUI and driving with a revoked license.

In an unrelated matter, a 17-year-old boy was arrested earlier this month for allegedly assaulting a state worker. Douglas Merrie told officers the assault occurred while he was working at the Tenkiller Adventure Program, where the boy was staying. Reports state the boy was booked into the detention center.

Kapil Haware filed a report Sunday, alleging a vandal knocked the passenger side window out of his 2006 Ford van.

A 7-year-old girl reported an alleged sexual assault Saturday.

Ron Ellington told deputies Friday his mailbox had been damaged.
