A Tahlequah man fell asleep in the drive-thru at Taco Bell and was arrested for DUI.
On June 9, Tahlequah Police Officer Michael Gray responded to reports of a man passed out in the Taco Bell drive-thru. Deon Johnson had to be shaken to awaken him, and he apparently reeked of alcohol. He failed the field sobriety tests and was taken to the detention center.
A man and a woman stole $17.30 worth of gasoline at Casey’s General Store. Employees said the two purchased items with an EBT card and left after pumping gas.
On June 10, the wooden statue at Norris Park was vandalized by four people. Video surveillance captured the statue getting knocked over by the individuals. Officer Thomas Donnell said the statue’s head was split in two.
Charlie Lowrey was arrested at Walmart after he was seen changing into a pair of new shoes and not paying.
Officer Justin Leatherwood arrested a woman for public intoxication at the Twin Oaks Apartment on June 10. Neighbors said Barbara Hunt was causing a disturbance and trying to fight. She was taken to the city jail.
Michael Lyster reported that his phone was stolen at the Circle S Laundromat on June 11.
