Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 55-year-old Welling man last week after he allegedly assaulted a woman and fought with officers as they tried to get him to a patrol car.
Daniel Fulton was booked into jail for domestic assault, assault on police, resisting arrest and placing bodily fluids on police. Deputies said the alleged victim had suffered minor injuries, and when authorities asked Fulton to go outside in his wheel chair, Fulton allegedly got to his porch but refused to go farther. He then allegedly tried to injure deputies’ arms and legs as they attempted to handcuff him. Deputies said they were forced to use pepper spray on Fulton twice, but he continued to resist and spat on them. He was eventually loaded into a patrol vehicle and taken to the jail.
Tisha Cochran reported the unauthorized use of a credit card last week. Deputies said the suspect claimed its fraudulent use was an “accident.”
