HULBERT – A Broken Arrow motorcyclist died Friday afternoon in a crash southwest of Hulbert on State Highway 80.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the victim as Eddie Eugene Todd, 63.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of massive injuries suffered in the crash. He was transported by Millsap Funeral Home to the medical examiner’s office in Tulsa.

Reports state Todd was northbound on S.H. 80 on his 2006 Harley Davidson when he entered a curve going down a hill.

The motorcycle ran off the road to the right after hitting sand in the roadway. The bike slid down an embankment, first hitting rocks and then a tree.

Todd was ejected as the motorcycle left the road, and he came to rest about 2 feet east of the motorcycle.

Reports list Todd’s condition at the time of the crash as  normal and the cause as unsafe speed on a curve.

Todd was not wearing a helmet.

The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m., Friday, and was investigated by OHP Trooper Steve Hash, who was assisted by OHP Troopers Shawn Weese and Steve Meridith.
