A 63-year-old man was airlifted to Tulsa Wednesday morning after he was shot in the face.
“He’s still alive, talking and alert,” said Tahlequah Police Lt. Steve Arnall.
The victim was taken by EMT to Tahlequah Municipal Airport, and he was then transported by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital.
Both the victim and the suspect called 911 around 9:20 a.m. after the incident happened at 903 W. Choctaw St.
Police are uncertain of the relationship between the victim and the shooter, and were waiting for a search warrant to retrieve the weapon.
