A man charged in a fatal shooting earlier this year in Tahlequah has posted an appearance bond and been released from custody.
Court records show Bronson William Butcher, 27, posted a $250,000 bond.
The bond was set a week ago by Associate District Judge Mark Dobbins at the conclusion of Butcher’s preliminary hearing.
Butcher, who has pleaded not guilty to the charge, had been held without bond since his arrest in mid-March for the shooting death of Dane Dunegan, of the Oktaha area, at his girlfriend’s home north of Tahlequah.
Assistant District Attorney Doug Dry objected to the setting of the bond.
Butcher is due to return to court June 16 for a district court arraignment before District Judge Darrell Shepherd. Donn Baker represents Butcher.
