Cherokee County prosecutors have charged a man with willfully disturbing state business.

Authorities allege Paul Lesley Larsen, 46, threatened Michael Fitch, a Department of Human Services child welfare worker.

Fitch had contact with Larsen after receiving an allegation that Larsen didn’t take his child to a doctor, an affidavit states.

Court records state Larsen told Fitch he will “get” him, and that he knows where Fitch lives. Larsen allegedly said he “takes care of things” with weapons.

Larsen allegedly filed a frivolous protective order in an attempt to keep Fitch from being around him. Larsen has also been charged with a domestic abuse count stemming from an alleged assault on Kathryn Koenig.

A $1,500 bond was set by Special District Judge Holli Pursley on the count of willfully disturbing state business. Pursley denied bond on the domestic abuse arrest warrant until Larsen appears in court.
