Shelbi Bowin and Greg Jackson were crowned Tahlequah High School All-Sports Queen and King during Homecoming festivities Friday night, Sept. 28.

Shelbi and Greg have known each other since they were small children. Both of them standout athletes, they played on the same T-ball baseball team when they were 5 years old.

Shelbi is the daughter of Donnie and Beth Bowin. She plays both fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball for the Tigers, as well as basketball. She was a state qualifier last year in high jump. A member of the National and Oklahoma honor societies, Shelbi has a GPA exceeding 4.0. She plans to play college sports, but will eventually go to veterinary school at OSU.

Greg is the son of Henry Jackson and Christie Jackson. He plays football and baseball and is a member of the Tiger track team. He hopes to attend college.

Greg and Shelbi were selected by the THS student body from a field of three candidates each, and weren't announced until just before Friday night's matchup with Sand Springs. Other Queen candidates were Alex Lewis and Magen Coward. Other King candidates were Jake Thornton and Charles Bryant.

Keys and Hulbert schools also crowned royalty at Homecoming games Friday. The All-School King and Queen for both schools were announced prior to the games. Their photos, along with those of THS' royalty candidates and others, were published in three separate editions of the Daily Press last week.

Hulbert's All-School King and Queen are Theron Howard and Katy Wallace; Keys' are Jamie Neff and Trey Kimble.

Theron is the grandson of Charlene and Verlin Howard. He is involved in football and Teens for Christ. After graduating, he wants to go to college and focus on an aspect of automotives.

Katy is the daughter of Dale and Linda Wallace. She is a member of Teens for Christ, National Honor Society, Gifted and Talented, Pride Club, Student Council, varsity cheerleading, slow-pitch softball and volleyball. She is enrolled at NSU, where she plans to finish her basics before working to become a radiologist.

Jamie is the daughter of Gene and Lisa Neff. She has a 4.0 GPA, and plays basketball, slow-pitch softball, and fast-pitch softball. She's a member of theNational Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Club, and Science Club. She plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and physical therapy school to specialize in sports medicine.

Trey is the son of Erb and Edna Kimble. He is a senior and four-year member of the varsity baseball and basketball teams, and on the varsity football team. Trey is also a member of Beta Club, Spanish Club, and Science Club. Trey plans on attending college and playing baseball.
