HULBERT - Northeastern Oklahoma Community Health Centers Inc. recently hosted State Sen. Dewayne Pemberton and State Rep. Matt Meredith at the Hulbert Health Center.

Pemberton and Meredith met with NeoHealth administration to discuss Federally Qualified Health Centers and the role they play in providing health care to Oklahoma's citizens.

Pemberton represents Cherokee and Muskogee counties, where NeoHealth operates several clinics.

"I was very impressed with the leadership, staff and services provided by NeoHealth. The services they provide to rural Oklahoma's meet an ever-growing need for quality health care, and must be supported," Pemberton said.

Meredith, who also represents Cherokee County, agreed with Pemberton's assessment on health care in Oklahoma.

"NeoHealth continues to provide health care services to those who may not otherwise be able to afford the cost of health care. I appreciate the great job they do for the citizens of our community," said Meredith.

NeoHealth administrators said they appreciated both Pemberton and Meredith taking the time to learn more about FQHC's and the role NeoHealth plays in providing health care to Northeastern Oklahoma.
