Are you among the nominees for the Tahlequah Daily Press' annual "Best of Cherokee County" contest? Then it's time to strut your stuff!

The "nominee tab" appeared in the Sunday, June 23 edition, along with a ballot for choosing the winners. That same ballot is appearing in today's edition - and it will be the last time in print. Otherwise, all voting must be done online at this address: Online voting closes June 30 at 11:59 p.m., and the paper ballots are due in our office by 5 p.m. Friday, June 28.

Between now and then, we encourage nominees to get the word out - and they can do that with special ads in the TDP print editions through Sunday that remind the public of what they're doing for this community, and urge readers to vote for them. Those same ads, of course, will be in our digital editions. Businesses and institutions wanting to compete are urged to include the link for online voting.

Our retail ad reps - Heather Ruotolo and Joe Mack, have special rates available for nominees who want to campaign for the win! Just call them between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Nominees can also talk to Terri Owens, our classified rep. They will be calling some of the nominees, too.

Let's all have some fun with this good-natured annual contest, and may the best nominees win!
